THE BRIEF

MelodyVR wanted rapid exposure to drive its share price and gear up for investment. Turning a complicated tech message into the coolest way for fans to experience their favourite artists, OK COOL transformed MelodyVR from a tech platform to an essential live music experience. 

WHAT WE DID

The approach was three-fold: 

  1. 1. Take MelodyVR out of category and into culture by talking less about the tech and all about the artists
  2. 2. We humanised the brand using the artists themselves to showcase the unreal wonder of VR, creating content that showed their reactions to watching their favourite artists 
  3. 3. By creating cool content delivered through a multi-platform strategy with bite-sized, high impact assets we converted to app downloads and engagement at all stages of the consumer journey

THE OUTCOME

  • MelodyVR landed with a bang. 120% increase in App downloads in the first three months driven by a 400% increase in social followers and content engagement. Crucially, our work contributed to the 2020 predicted revenue growth of 2400%.
